Saturday didn't disappoint in terms of atmosphere at Örebro parkrun being our 88th event and we are slowly creeping towards that magical 100. In fact, as long as we don't have to cancel anytime in the next 11 weeks then we will hit the 100 mark exactly on our 2nd birthday! Double reason to celebrate that event.
Yesterday was fun for me on a personal note as we had our nephew staying with us from England. Henry a good track runner himself ran with my family, in true parkrun style, although somewhat colder than he is normally used to. He, my son Hugo and wife Ulrika all ran together with my daughter Sadie enjoying a walk with the Tail Walker gang!
At least 5 new people (plus a few that didn't regsister in time) today which is awesome considering we are in the middle of winter, it's "slightly colder" and there are plenty of other exciting things to do such as skiing, skating etc. However, those that did turn up certainly weren't disappointed with the course, being in perfect condition.
Great to see several walkers again today highlight that parkrun is open for everyone as long you take yourselves around the 5km course. Amongst those walkers was Tahlia who visiting her family in Örebro all the way from Australia; she normally takes pictures at her local parkrun in Yamba NSW, where the rest of her family are all active. How cool is that!
We always need people to join us as volunteers, it's great fun, really easy and you'll be ensuring parkrun keeps operating for free, EVERY week. Drop us a line if you can help, either on facebook or email: email@example.com
That's it for this time, see you all next week for Örebro parkrun #89
Today's parkrun's pictures were taken by Jimmy, so thanks as ever. Here is a link to all of the pictures from Örebro parkrun, ever!
