Haga parkrun, event #74, run report
We had lots of people to thank and to congratulate at this week’s event, with a steady 67 runners, not at all bad considering the conditions. A light layer of snow had fallen overnight, which probably saved the course, which became ‘grippy’ and not so slippy. How much you learn about the different qualities of snow when you live in Sweden!
We had the pleasure of welcoming Sari Helminen (and her husband Ilpo) who is one of the Run Directors at Tampere parkrun, currently Finland’s only parkrun and well worth a visit!
We also celebrated Sarah-Jane Barrable’s 50th parkrun, this time as Tail Walker, the position she has filled in recent weeks after the birth of baby Lara. Congratulations SJ!
We also welcomed tourists from the UK…..and there were shorts on display again!
Two PBs this week, so well done to Patrik ‘Gylle’ Larsson and to the ever-smiling Michele Zazzara!
Thanks to the rest of the volunteer team – you couldn’t get a more reliable group than Anna Klöfver, Peter Hansson, Patrick Joyce and Filip Ainouz. Thanks for making everything run so smoothly.
And finally, thanks to Kallum Corke for all the amazing photos again. So nice for everyone to see all these! Check out all our photos here.
See you all again soon!
