Well done Kerstin! Totally love these kinds of stories; whereby after 5 weeks of trying Kerstin managed to run the whole of parkrun without stopping, awesome and great effort Kerstin, we look forward to seeing you at parkrun as often as you can.
This week we had 61 participants, as per usual of all abilities, which is fantastic to see considering it's peak semester time and many people are away. Let's keep Örebro parkrun growing and soon I want to see our record (Öpr#1) of 97 smashed!
Great to meet Paul and Gareth from the UK. Paul has been threatening to come down for a few weeks now so it was nice to finally meet another parkrun tourist. Both gave really positive feedback about our course and event which was great to hear. Indeed parkrun is growing in Scandinavia with new events in Skatås (Göteborg), Huddinge and Oslo opening shortly; please use your barcode and test out other parkruns.
A "little downpour" at the end didn't spoil the party as we greeted the the final person home, which is always our tailwalker.
Just a reminder that we always need our tokens back that you are handed when you cross the line. You keep your barcodes to use over and over and we keep the tokens (which we need every week)
We are planning some "event days" at parkrun for the future, just to mix things up a bit. On September 16th, Örebro AIK will take over parkrun and offer the chance to run with some pace groups (farthållare). If you have ever thought about joining a running club, are just curious about what benefits they offer or want to run with a controlled, pace group and even get a PB now is your chance!
Any other club that wants to run a parkrun day just let us know and we'll organise something.
Hopefully Friskis & Svettis will also have an event day. Any other event days you'd us to orgainse just let us know and we can discuss your ideas.
Thanks for this week and see you next Saturday for Örebro parkrun #17!
As ever a big shout out to our volunteers who this week were:

Varje vecka publicerar vi resultaten på vår hemsida för de som är intresserade. Parkrun är INTE en tävling, men samtidigt uppmuntrar vi framsteg för dem som vill nå sina löparmål. Vi publicerar också din åldersgrupps ranking, vilket är ett riktigt coolt sätt att mäta dig själv i världsliga termer:
