Örebro parkrun #86 run report – It’s 2019!

Stunning start to Örebro parkrun

"barnvagnar" are very popular at parkrun

The first parkrun of 2019. On this day last year we saw 37 people complete our 5 km course around Rynningeviken, today we welcomed 68, which is some increase indeed! A trend we've seen for a while at Örebro parkrun and are loving the fact that we are attracting a great mix of people, ages, backgrounds, abilities and genders.

Jimmy - photographer turned runner!

We talk about sense of community all the time at parkrun and it's really evident at Örebro with many of our volunteers that when they are not helping out they come down and take part, walking or running. Jimmy (above) and Annica (below) are, to name just a few, examples of this. Both have volunteered many times, Jimmy is famed for his awesome pics and Annica even had a stint as a Run Director.

Annica getting closer to her 50-Milestone!

Rihards as Lead Bike-volunteering for the 1st time

Kerstin completed her 25th time as a volunteer, which rewards with a Milestone t-shirt

Great to be "back in business" with a new parkrun year, lots of opportunities to grow and see even more people be active with our already large "fan-base".

That's it for this time, see you all next week for Örebro parkrun #87

Today's parkrun's pictures were taken by Kayley, so thanks as ever. Here is a link to all of the pictures from Örebro parkrun, ever!
